James Edward Harris
James Edward Harris was born 5/3/1937 in Spruce Pine Alabama to Veto and Helen Virginia Harris. He attended schools and grew up in the Holland-Steele, Mo area. On 5/5/1984 he married Betty Harris who survives him at the home in Fenton, Mo. For many years he lived in Arnold, Mo and worked at Don Darr Pontiac in St. Louis. After relocating to the Santa Fe, Mo area, he worked for Joe Machens Ford in Columbia, Mo and retired from there in1996. Mr. Harris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexico,Mo.
He loved fishing at Mark Twain Lake, gardening, traveling and being with his family.
He is survived by three sons, Larry(Stephanie), Imperial Mo, Nathan(fiancee Starla),Barnhart, Mo and Joseph(Cathy)San Antonia, TX and 2 stepsons Greg Seibert, Edwardsville, IL, Mark Seibert, Branford, CT and stepdaughter Connie(Chris)Huels, Fenton,Mo.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 stepgrandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren, and 10 stepgreatgrandchildren. He was Grandpa to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Luther B Harris.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring at Mark Twain Lake area.
My heart hurts for you Betty. Uncle James was a very special man. And awsome Uncle to me. I have wonderful memories. Larry, Nathan & Joe I know how much it hurts to lose your dad. I know he is in heaven with his family and they are rejoicing. My love goes out to all of you.
