May you soar above us now brother. Your legacy now is passed to those Eagles who follow. As General William Lee said in the conception of the 101st Airborne PIR “this division has no history but it has a rendezvous with destiny!” Sir your commitment to your country and your brothers provide a legacy still today men strive to rise to your standards. Thank you for all you gave and continued to give to this great nation. May God bless and comfort your family in the time of their loss. The angels must be rejoicing as heaven gains another Eagle.

Overlord, Market Garden, The Bulge, Bastogne.
Sgt. Bob Hale rightfully could claim “been there, done that” to all of them. Very few others can.
I had the honor to meet Bob, shake his hand and thank him for his service at the 75th June 6th Commemorations of D-Day.
On behalf of the people of Belgium, thank you.
Dear Bob, enjoy eternal peace, together with your beloved Thelma.

Pamela, thank you for all you have done to honor your parents. What great Americans they have been. All Screaming Eagles weep for them,
and praise them, as they soar in the heavens together with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our lives are blessed by knowing them and your family. How wonderful for you all to have visited France on a peaceful D-Day celebration with them. God Bless you and your family for sustaining them and reflecting their bravery and love over these many years.

Captain Barry Hana, a founding member of the Missouri Chapter, 101st Airborne Division Association, now living in Minnesota.
