Joseph Zekoll

Joseph (“Joey”) Zekoll passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. Joey was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 25, 1982. He is survived by is mother, Evangeline Zekoll.

Joey attended college at ITT Technical Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media. He worked for Charter Communications on the Technical Support Team for DSL, IPTV, phone, and email.

Joey was naturally gifted in all areas of Information Technology. He took much pride in helping others with their computer problems as a Customer Representative for different electronic stores. It brings me great joy to hear how respected and accepted he was by those he worked with for his talents.

Joey was the type of person that valued everyone and the relationships that developed. He never needed the spot light on himself and enjoyed the quiet, reserved moments. He enjoyed riding his bike, building new computers, and playing video games. He enjoyed his career, and felt blessed that he was able to work in an industry that suited his personal interests.

Joey was very loyal to his mother and friends. His favorite motto in life was, “If you need anything, Just ask!”

As his mother, I couldn’t ask for a better son. Joey and I have been through it all and have stuck together as a team from the beginning. All this comes with such sadness in my heart, but now my prayer is that Joey is at peace. I have loved him everyday of his life and will never stop loving him this day forward.

God bless you, my Son!!!

This is so beautifully written. Vangie, Joey’s spirit will always live on.
And it’s been amazing to learn all the ways in which Joey has made a positive impact on others.
May you continue to meet those that loved your son just as much as you do…and that together, everyone can find some peace in all this.
As always, we are always here for you!!! Amy & John

I was in joes class of 2001, he was a great, smart man. I just learned of him passing and am saddened by it. I will say a prayer for him and his family. Such a loss to the entire world …
