Mary Ann “Annie” Moenster

Mary Ann “Annie” Moenster, of St. Peters, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at the age of 64.
Annie was the dear daughter of the late Alexander Gunn and the late Rosemary Frances Whitelaw; devoted wife of David Moenster; loving mother of Joseph and John Moenster; beloved sister of Mary Francis Whitelaw, Mary Patricia (Paul) Muehling, Mary Ellen (Jim Diaz) Whitelaw, Michael (Ruth) Whitelaw, Patrick Whitelaw, and Alexander Whitelaw, and sister in-law of Sandra Bauer, Mary Sutter, and Gerald (Ginger) Moenster. Annie was also a loving aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt, cousin, and friend to many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Whitelaw, brothers in-law, Francis Muehling, Robert Bauer, John “Jack” Moenster and Michael Sutter, and her nephew, Mark Muehling.
Annie worked as a bookkeeper, legal secretary and medical transcriptionist. She was kind, loving, and compassionate. Her eagerness to always help her family and friends led her to become a passionate advocate for the disabled and their caregivers. Annie enjoyed sunsets, gardening, music, singing, dancing, traveling, fishing, and she had a love for cats (despite being allergic) and dogs. Although she had a love for many things, nothing came close to the deep love she had for her family and friends.
Please join Annie’s family and friends to celebrate her life and enjoy a meal from her favorite restaurant, El Mezon, on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 6:00-10:00 PM, at Water’s Edge Banquet Center at St. Peter’s Golf Club, 200 Salt Lick Road, St. Peters, MO 63376.
The family humbly requests in lieu of flowers, please send donations in memoriam to Pony Bird Inc., a tax deductible charity, P.O. Box 190, Mapaville, MO 64065, or online, at https://www.ponybird.info/donate/ .

Annie will be missed greatly. Miss her laugh that brought her to tears. She was always there for everyone, offering help when needed. Will miss our girls trips with her. She was always the first one to say “yes”, let’s go!

I worked with Annie in the 90s and after 1/1/2000. I still feel that she was part of my legal family. She was a devoted wife and mother and friend. I will remember her fondly always.

Our friend Annie was such a joy to be with. She put everything into whatever she did with grace and courage. The Bunco sisters loved her and will miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave, John, and Joe and to her entire family.

So sorry to hear of Annie’s passing. Remembering all the good times we had as kids growing up. We would just hop the back fence and was at each others house. I will keep your family in my prayers and hope you will heal as time goes on.
