Kathy “Kat” Kelly

Kathy (Kat) Kelly, 62, of St. Charles, MO danced her way to her parents (Bob and Deloris Kelly) in heaven on Saturday, November 30, 2019.

Wife, mom, granny, sister, aunt, and friend. Kat loved traveling via RV or cruise ship, dancing, snorkeling, house projects, volunteering, but most of all spending time with family and friends.
She was married to the love of her life, Don Wilhite, for 20 years. She left behind many loved ones including, but not limited to, her daughters Jessica (Steve) Gutshall and Casie (Barclay) Schindler, grandchildren Brady and Charlie Schindler, siblings Mike (Paula) Kelly, Pat (Kerry) Kelly, Meg (John) Tringale, and Nancy (Eric) Foley, stepson the late Rich Wilhite, step-daughter Kari Wilhite, and step-grandchildren Faith and GabePrather. Kat was a vibrant woman, awesome dancer, and a force to be reckon with. She had a heart much bigger than herself and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 20th from 5 to 11 pm at Lake St. Louis Community Association Clubhouse, 100 Cognac Ct., Lake St. Louis, MO 63367, and a small service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Dec 23rd at 1:45pm.

In lieu of flowers, her wish was to have a donation sent to Habitat for Humanity &/or the Salvation Army.

    Kathy was a mentor to me at Boeing for over 8 years and I’m so grateful to have known her. Even though I’m located in California I met Kathy on several occasions and even traveled to St. Louis where she showed me around the area. She was committed to the success of our team and she made the work enjoyable. She was funny and loved sharing stories about her family vacations, activities with her grandkids and videos of her dance mob crew and Christmas light set up. I will always remember Kathy as looking out for the “little guys” and putting her whole heart into whatever she set out to do.

    My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
