Carmel Huston
Carmel Theresa Huston (née Caruso) passed away peacefully on December 23, 2019 at the age of 65.
Carm was born in St. Louis, MO on July 16, 1954 to Anthony and Eleanor Caruso (née Cracchiola).
Carm retired from her job as a Child Care attendant at the YMCA. She was previously employed as a teacher assistant for St. Margaret of Scotland and Holy Family parishes. Carm loved spending time with her family and doing the things she loved: crafting, laughing, and caring for children.
But most of all, Carm enjoyed time with her grandchildren and being an attentive wife to Robert. Robert and Carm enjoyed 38 years of marriage.
Carm is survived by her husband Robert Huston, her three daughters and spouses Cristina Huston, Stefanie & Pete Giacopelli, and Theresa & James Rochette II. Carm was also a loving grandmother to Andrew Huston, Dominic & Vincent Giacopelli, and James Rochette III. Carm has two remaining siblings Rose Ludwig and Fran Caruso. Carm was a supportive Aunt to her nieces and nephews David, Robert, and Charles Ludwig and Paula & John Hernandez.
Carm was a beautiful soul and will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 10am at Saint Ambrose Church in St. Louis, MO.
She was a very loving person and will be missed.

Miss Carm I’m going to miss you ..You have brought laughter and joy. I will never forget you my good friend. Im going to miss all the art projects that you have taught me and I’m going to miss all the good old Hodak’s days we used to have. I’m going to miss hearing you say hi my Kiki. I know you looking down on us so I’m not even going to say goodbye I’m just going to say I see you later.
She was a wonderful neighbor and I could see she held a special place in her family. She clearly had a love for children and always wanted to share with my kids- whatever it was she had on hand.
Carmel , or “ Bob’s wife” as my boys called her , was always ready with a smile and a wave and she will be missed on the block.

Ms.Carm You are very Special friend to me like no other . I did enjoy the time we worked together and I learned so much I will surely miss the friendship that we have .
Carm had a big heart, a ready smile, and a fabulous personality.

So sorry to hear of your loss
My Carmaletta was what I called her. She was the first person I meet at South City Y over 13 years ago. I called her my daughter (which she called my daughter Mackie she have been there for her since she was born) God grandmother. Whenever my parents couls make it to my daughter’s Grand Parents Day yes she would show up even on some occasions when Mackie had a performance she would come. My Carmaletta was alwaus there for me and my family. The bond was so strong we would go out to eat with her family and my children as a family every blue moon. This is hurting me cause I’m going miss the we both woumd call each other and check on one another. I have so much to say about her that it would go on and on. With that said to my Carmaletta I love you and you will always be apart of my and my children’s lives. Your family is my family. I’m not saying good bye I will say see you later.

You were the first face I saw on my very first day of work at the Y. You invited me to join you making crafts for the kids during summer, not knowing this is what would create our friendship. Attending school during the fall and spring, I would come home to work for breaks and you were always be eager for next my return. I have enjoyed our laughs and craft making, all of which I will deeply miss.

While I only may have known you and your family for a short time, I was blessed by your presence. I did not have to know you long to see how very much you were loved and what great impact you had on so many lives. You will be greatly missed by many ????

I only known you for three months, but it was a momentous three months! You touched me so deeply with your kindness, your love for children and your sincerness. You made me smile every time I saw you! I am truly going to miss you but we will be reunited again. Love you dearly!
