Carolyn Anthony
Carolyn Jaunita Anthony, age 90, entered Heaven March 25,2020 from her senior
living home, Anthology of Wildwood. She was born May 2, 1929 to Bertha (Cole)
and David Lee Anthony in Evergreen, Alabama. Carolyn was the third of seven
children. Two brothers, David Carlton, and Julius Cautez proceeded her in death
and she is survived by her four sisters: Peggy Sue Noto of Birmingham, Alabama,
Janice Marilyn Damerell of Peoria, Illinois, Betty Vaughan Hanna of Homosassa,
Florida and Marita Lee McQuellon of Peoria, Illinois. Also surviving is her only
child, Vicki Williamson Carius of Town & Country, Missouri and her two
grandchildren: Stephanie Carius Araujo of Manchester, Mo. And Brian Timothy
Carius of Denver, Colorado.
Carolyn lived in Peoria, Illinois until the early 1980’s moving to Destin, Florida and
residing in Sandestin for the next ten years. Her grandchildren visited often
exploring the sugar sand beaches of the emerald coast. When the tourist began to
outnumber the residents, she built a new home near the Crystal River in
Homosassa, Florida where the Manatees live. Health issues prompted her to
return north moving to St.Louis, Mo. to be with her family. She had a lovely two
story home near Chesterfield mall which she traded for senior living at the
Fountains. It was not to her liking so she moved again to a one story condo at 312
Clayton Crossings in Ellisville and lived happily until September 2019.
She watched her grandchildren go through High School and College and was at
Stephanie’s wedding in November of 2017. Suffering from COPD prevented her
from seeing Brian’s house in Denver, but they shared the same birthday date and
often spent it together. It was a good life filled with family. She has many adoring
nieces and nephews. She will be missed.
There will be a family service in the Memorial Garden at Bonhomme Presbyterian
Church at a later date.
Love to all of you in this hard time Vicki. May you feel Gods peace knowing she is in the arms of her savior. ????✝️ Hugs, Jill and Gary

Vicki,
I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Nita was a wonderful person and was loved by those that knew her. She was a strong woman with a beautiful smile that came from her heart. I will always miss and love her. Words can’t express the sadness I’m feeling. God bless you and keep you.
