Glorian McGuire

Glorian McGuire, 73, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Ditenhafer, and a brother and a sister. Survivors include John, her husband of 47 years, her three daughters, Angela Kehrman, Ellen (Bruce) Thelen, Julie (Darren) Hogg, seven grandchildren, a niece, her sister, Grace Ditenhafer and her sister-in-law, Paula Milton. Before her illnesses restricted her activities, Glorian was an active community volunteer. She contributed her time and talents to the Ladue School District, St. Louis Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, and the Girl Scouts, where she was a leader for a number of troops. She will be missed for her creativity and artistic abilities and her devotion to her daughters and grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.

    John, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your wife. I don’t know that I ever had the privilege to meet her, but she seems like a very nice person and loved by her family and friends.     Our family will always remember Glorian as a wonderful mother who shared her family with the Girl Scouts. She provided so many opportunities for her children and their scout friends to enjoy the outdoors and other adventures that will not be forgotten.
