JAMES (JIM) R. HANNICK

In loving memory of James. R. “Jim” Hannick, 75, of Valley Park, Missouri passed away at home on Monday, May 11, 2020 (after a long struggle with cancer and heart disease.) Born in St. Louis, Mo. on (9-17-44) to the late Charles J. and the late Bernice J. (Strawn) Hannick. Brother to the late Loretta (Lloyd) Clayton, the late Patricia (Bill) Brignole, Virginia (Don) Holland, and Tom (Vickie) Hannick.

He was married in 1989 to Sharon (Shari) ( Cundiff ) Hannick. Father of Melissa K. Davis and step-father to Michelle ( Rich ) Sames.

Jim graduated from Valley Park High School ( in 1962) and served in the U.S. Army from July 1965 to July 1967 with a tour in Vietnam. Jim was a volunteer for the Valley Park Fire District from 1975 to 1985. He was a long time member of the Kirkwood Amvets. Beloved cousin, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Jim was surprised with a parade on ( Sat.May 9) by his home by the Amvets and friends. A special thanks to all who made it such a wonderful day for Jim, we will remember it always.

A funeral ceremony will be at Jefferson Barracks cemetery in St. Louis, date pending. A celebration of Life memorial will be held at the Valley Park Amvets per Jim’s wishes, date pending.
