Family Testimonials:

Dad taught me to enjoy the great outdoors and to learn wisdom from observing nature. He always encouraged me to do my best and to excel at what I was naturally good at. He was and still is my hero.

What I remember most about dad was his work ethic and how considerate he was for mom. He’d come home from a hard days work and still take time to help her with the house work. He always lead us in grace before meals. He is my hero.

I thought dad could do anything…fix anything, build anything, solve any problem. My fondest memory was how he loved mom. I learned so much about life just watching that.

The legacy that dad left me was his faithfulness and dedication to family, a strong sense of right from wrong, a love for gardening and growing beautiful things, and a strong work ethic. He also had an amazing sense of humor that could always make me laugh. He had a father’s heart that has provided lasting memories.

I remember dad’s love for mom and family, his sense of humor and his love for fishing and gardening. He will live on in our hearts.

Our hearts are so saddened by the passing of Uncle George. We will always remember our visits with he and Aunt Dolores those early years in Alton, the 8 years they lived in Lake Placid we remember especially and our visit to Mountain Home. Uncle George and Dolores always made us feel @ home and welcome. They both are in our hearts. Praying for peace & comfort for Aunt Dolores and their children.

I never met you in person yet through your son Joseph I feel I know you. Your son expressed so much love about you and his Mom. I know your family will miss you deeply. May you rest in the knowledge that their love for you continues with their love for each other. Sending up smoke and prayers.

I’ll always remember you making cookies and dancing with grandma in the kitchen. You called me red and made me proud to be a ginger! So thankful you were my grandpa.

My memories of Uncle George always come back to his big grin, that and a cup of coffee that he always seemed to have in hand. I can visualize him that way on the old farm in Kampsville, on his boat at Lake Placid, and at home in Mountain Home, always smiling with cup in hand . But, perhaps, my fondest memory is from April 2004 when Donna and I were able to reunite Uncle George and his two sisters, my mom Bobbie and my Aunt Juanita, at the Red Bud Cove B&B in Branson, MO, for their last face to face reunion. What a good time for them! All three are gone now, and are certainly missed by all of us. I’d like to believe they are celebrating an eternal reunion In the arms of our Lord in a heaven full of smiles. Rest In Peace, Uncle George!
