Milo Hunter
Hunter, Jr., Milo F. ’Mike’ 86, passed away on November 1, 2007. Mr. Hunter, born November 15, 1920, was the son of Milo and Blanche Hunter. He was preceded in death by his wives Francine Duncan Hunter Denny and Mae Carosello Hunter, and two of his sisters, Merle M. McCoy and Peggy Mackey. He is survived by his son, Milo Hunter, daughter-in-law Donna, and granddaughter Allison, all of Randleman, NC; his sister Patricia Roedell of Dubuque, IA; and seven nieces and nephews. Others left to cherish his memory are his brother-in-law and his wife, Tony and Bettie Carosello, his caretaker, Maryann Speno, and neighbors Joe Wheeler and Dan and Celeste Burke. Mr. Hunter served in World War II and was an officer in the Korean Conflict. Among his many professional accomplishments, he was Vice President and General Manager of Machinery, Incorporated. A former resident of Raleigh, NC, he was an avid golfer, playing in the Championship Flight in many golf tournaments at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC, where he was a Charter Member. Previously, he was a member of Old Warson Country Club. He was a proud member of the Clayton-Ladue Rotary Club. Mike, always the gracious host, lived life to the fullest, and always greeted family and friends with a broad smile and a firm handshake. He was a true inspiration to those that had the privilege of meeting him.Services: Always willing to help, his final act of generosity was to donate his body to the St. Louis University Medical School for research.
