Jerry was born in London, Ontario and lived there for 30 years before moving to New York City where he met his wife Jean nee. Finck. They were married in the 1960’s and later moved to the St. Louis area in 1972, first Spanish Lake and then Rock Hill for 30 years. Jerry and Jean have a loving daughter Christine Morris, and Jerry has another daughter from a previous marriage, Barbra Lynn. Jerry has one sibling, his brother Bevin (Jane) Morris of Canada.

Jerry was a jazz drummer for the group Jerry Morris and the Jazz Company,a care salesman, but he is better known as a golf instructor.
