Steve was a close friend during our teen years. He was one of the smartest guys I knew. He was better than me at most things — photography, chess, and table tennis — but he made me better. I got to reconnect with him about ten years ago in New York, but unfortunately, that was the last time we saw each other. I will always treasure my memories of our friendship.

I played the lead in the Chasm Project. Elliot Porter. I just heard this difficult news today. Steve was such a great guy. We spent countless hours talking shop and working on ideas. He was beyond creative and clever. Our last email was in June 2020. Hard to believe how much life has changed and these past few years have slipped by. Thank you for your friendship and inspiration Steve I really admired you and will never forget you my friend!
My sincerest condolences and best wishes to the family!
