Keisha LaShon Louie
Keisha LaShon Louie, affectionately known as Monkey or KL, was born November 6, 1975, to John Costello and Lou Doris Louie whom both preceded her in death. Two brothers also proceeded her in death, Bobby Costello and Keith Costello. She was the youngest of eleven children. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She sustained her education in the magnet program within the St. Louis public school system and received her high school diploma from Central Visual & Performing Arts in 1994, after successfully completing her studies. She continued her education at St. Louis Community College.
Keisha started working at an early age for Carr Square Tenant Management¸ she moved on to work for Barnes Jewish Hospital in 1999 and left there to pursue a career in money management for the Currency Exchange. When her mother Lou Doris became ill she took over caring for her full time as her home health assistant until she passed away in 2019.
Keisha enjoyed reading books, listening to music, attending events, and socializing with family/friends. She owned a tremendous collection of African American fiction books and a vast array of musical cd’s by numerous artists. Keisha was also a sports fanatic, she had a sense of humor like no one you have ever met and would often speak her mind. She was a compassionate do-gooder always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Keisha’s greatest accomplishment was the birth of her beautiful son, Armon.
Keisha Louie departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Armon McAtee; sisters, Kathy Louie, Phillis Allen, Sharon Mollison, Geraldine Davis (Floyd Sr.), Karen McClendon; brothers, John Costello Jr., Emmett Costello (Jane Ann), Kevin Costello; aunt, Glenda Smith (Dale); and host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; her sisters by heart Rochelle, Tamara, Erika, life partner Demetrius Lovett and a multitude of friends.

It still don’t seem real Keisha me and Rashad will miss you. You treated my son just like Armon and I thank you.???? We use to take the boys out all the time. While Armon was gaining a friend in Kindergarten with Rashad.Me and you also became friends.???????????????????? Just know we will try to reach out to him like we always do. I didn’t know the last time I talk to you would be the last. When you ask me to pick up Armon to go to the party cause you said you just got out the hospital and you was tried I should’ve just called and checked on you that night but I called you the next morning to see if you wanted me to bring Armon home you said you picked him up that night. I wish I could’ve just made conversation but it was so early in the morning. You will be truly missed.????
Faith brings pain that time can only heal,
No words could ease what we truly feel;
But with God, her joy is eternally sealed,
And cherish her memories that death can’t even steal.
Lift up a smile for she is already in the paradise.
Our Deepest Condolences! CVPA Alumni
Rest peacefully beautiful you are truly missed! <3
