Daniel Yacovelli
Daniel Yacovelli, 73, passed away October 5, 2020 with his family by his side.
Dan spent his childhood in mischief at his grandparents farm in Bismarck, MO. He joined the US Navy in 1964 and was a Vietnam veteran. Dan married Pat in 1970 and they raised two daughters, Gina and Katie. He spent most of his career as a cross country truck driver and earned several safety awards for his diligence and expertise.
Dan never met a stranger and always had a story to share. He was a wildlife conservationist, avid hunter and fisherman, medaled marksman and archer, and a mentor to those who shared his passions. Besides being a provider, husband and father; Dan was also a brother, brother in law, uncle, cousin, friend to many, and his most cherished role was being a grandfather.
Dan was preceded in his death by his father, Dewey, and his mother, Marie. He is survived by his wife, Pat; his two children, Gina and Katie; his sisters Ruth (Mike) Wessels and Nancy Wisneski; his brother Jack (Jan) Yacovelli; his much beloved grandson, Collin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request, Dan will be interred at Jefferson Barracks at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Missouri Department of Conservation, Donations Coordinator, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180 or at MDC Donation Form.
Dan smiled all the way through life, and I cried all through this memorial.
Just beautiful and truly what I remember about him!
I will miss him.
Dan will truly be missed by so many friends.
Prayers to Pat, Gina, Katie and all family members.
Compassionate with an infectious smile; His time on earth has ended
but the many wonderful memories in the hearts he touched will never
end. Be at peace my friend
