John M. Bieser
John M. Bieser passed away peacefully on October 30, 2020. Born December 13, 1954, he grew up in Kirkwood, attending Kirkwood High School. By trade, he was a musician and a culinarian. John played guitar in several bands in the area, traveled a bit while playing. He enjoyed listening to music, especially great guitarists, his whole life. His cooking skills also took him places, and the family benefitted from his excellent meals at many holiday dinners!
His favorite hobbies were fishing and coin collecting. John was well known to friends and family as a laid-back, really nice guy. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Anne Bieser, Jill Lynch, Jean Hildebrand and Mary Davies, as well as nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Fran Bieser. Many thanks to the caring staff at Big Bend Woods.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
Thinking of all of you today, knowing the blessings John’s life gave to each of you especially our friend, Jill. We are so sorry for your loss.
I had many wonderful times with “Beezer” at KHS, as he was my boyfriend’s best pal. So many youthful adventures with John, I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and all who loved him.
The Beez was a lot of fun and a great, inspired musician! We played some shows together as kids, people loved John. He stayed at my home for awhile and was a chef, quite a guy and a real giver. John will be missed, condolences to John’s family, he left a wonderful legacy.
Back in Kirkwood, I played in bands with John. He was a consummate musician, always an intelligent, classy guy to have in your corner, and a good friend. I’m just hearing about his passing today, some years late, as I’m listening to one of his performances with Frank Heyer, Gary Brannum, and myself at the Kirkwood Park Amphitheater. I found an old tape, had it digitized, and am grooving to it. John, as usual, is rock solid. My belated condolences to his family and other friends. I’m proud to have known John and called him my friend.
