Milton F. Woody

Woody, Milton Floyd, age 76, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on October 25, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Esra Woody; son, Aaron Woody; brother, Bernard Carl Woody; a niece and several nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Floyd Woody, and his siblings, Edward Walton, Ray Haislop, and Joyce Waddell. A native of Richmond, he was a 1961 graduate of John Marshall High School. He continued his education at RPI (VCU) earning a Bachelor of Science in 1967 and Michigan State University where he earned a Masters of Arts in College Student Personnel Administration in 1971. He worked as a Director of Enrollment Services for various colleges (MSU, VCU, Tri-State University) before he started working at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley, where he was an Associate Dean of Enrollment Services from 1982-2004. Milton shared a love of baseball with his father and was an avid Cubs fan. As a young man, he played baseball and his father never missed a game where he was pitching. Although Milton came to parenthood later in life, the past 16 years with his wife, Esra, and their son, Aaron, were some of the happiest years of his life. He was extremely proud of them and their many talents. Milt had many close friends with whom he loved to share time playing golf, attending sporting events, and, in retirement, getting together for three-hour lunches with lots of good conversation. His wry sense of humor and nose jokes will be missed.

I miss you so much, I miss your beautiful and caring soul. A fireball grows in my chest whenever I look for you and the reality of your nonexistance hit me.
