Aaron Stigen
Aaron died peacefully in his sleep. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early January and was able to accept his disease and prognosis quickly. He was at peace during his last weeks here on earth. God blessed him by letting him be pain free through the progression of his disease.
His daughters Annette and Becky were able to spend some quality time with him in the final days of his life. They are very grateful for that special time with dad.
Amanda and Cassidy are his granddaughters, and they were the light of his life.
Aaron touched the lives of many people. Below are some comments from friends and family.
“It was a great pleasure to hear him laugh and to see his great sense of humor.”
“I will never forget him, I owe him so much for sharing his wisdom with me.
“All though all of us are so saddened by this, I keep reflecting that he is about to begin his biggest and happiest adventure ever.”
“I am deeply grateful for having you in my life.”
“I love you and I will never forget you.”
“He was my favorite cousin.”
“We had some really fun, crazy times together.”
I know God is Happy to have you home with him but we will miss you here. Your caring spirit and wonderful smile will live on in the memories of those of us who are left behind. You touched my life tremendously in many ways and I will always remember you…
I met Aaron in 2005. Since that time we had many, many long phone conversations. He was a true friend,an honorable man and he loved his family dearly. He spoke of them ofen and enjoyed his grandchldren so much. I thank God for having such a friend in my life. My sympathy to his family, Vee
Aaron and i met in 2005, on the dance floor at the Ranch in WACO.The one who takes your hand, but touches your heart, is a true friend. To the memory nothing is truly ever lost.I called Aaron two weeks before his meeting the LORD, we prayed, and i asked God to please be gentle with Aaron`s last hour`s on earth, and it was said,he went with God as he slept. The LORD now has Aaron,One BEAUTIFUL SOUL,I will miss you in my life. And i will meet you again, so GOD promised us.
I am a long lost second cousin of Aaron’s. My mother, Helen Erickson Wold and Aaron’s mother, Edith were cousins. As young children we had many family get togethers/dinners. We have a picture of one occasion in particular when my cousin, Shari, (who took dance lessons) had brought her little costumes and she and I were dressed up in them (age 6?), and Aaron and my brother Bart were teasing and bugging us. Aaron was 3 years older than me and 3 years younger than Bart. We had many family times together and I still remember them well. He was always so cute I thought. I don’t think I ever saw him after we all got out of high school, however out parents continued to get together until their deaths. I am glad to read he had children and grandchildren to love and someone to take care of him at the end. May you have many fond and loving memories to give you comfort and smiles.
we miss you dad!
