Jerome Michael Jennings, son of Wilfred M. Jennings (deceased) and Mary L. Jennings (nee Hodapp), Brother to Mary Ann (Mike) Schuermann, William E. (Patty) Jennings, Christopher P. (Sue) Jennings, Anthony J. Jennings (deceased), David J. (Linda) Jennings died Monday, January 25, 2021, at the age of 56. Jerry was uncle to Katie Boudreau, Lee Schuermann, Anna Holladay, Thomas Jennings, Sarah Jennings, and Lizzie Jennings. He was also a great-uncle to Ryan Boudreau, Cassi Boudreau, Hagan Holladay, Isabelle Holladay, and Ava Brown.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his dear friend and partner, Greg Zabawa on February 24, 2014. Jerry and Greg shared their lives together with their beloved dogs Vinnie and Dog who provided much enjoyment for the Jennings family.

Jerry resided at St. Sophia’s care home in Florissant, MO for nearly 20 years after having been diagnosed with an illness similar to multiple sclerosis. Jerry was friends with the staff members, other residents, and his many roommates where he enjoyed their daily interaction and special care provided. He had an excellent sense of humor and laughed and joked as best possible with everyone that he could interact with. Jerry was a long-time fan of “The Brady Bunch” and “Jeopardy” as well as sharing family memories when looking at the scrapbook of his life. He always liked looking at pictures taken with the Hodapp and Jennings family aunts, uncles, and cousins and could often tell stories and laugh about the fond memories.

Jerry will be laid to rest with his dad and brother at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Donations can be made to The Humane Society of Missouri.
