William Devoto

William Charles Devoto (Butch), 78, of St. Peters, Mo. Went home to Jesus on Friday Jan.22, 2021 at 6:10 a.m. Butch was at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Butch is survived by his wife Darline (Stern/Nieberg) Devoto of 54 years ; daughters Kelly Larrea, Lisa Nieberg, Gena Miller (Steve),Dorothy Campise (Patrick), Kathleen Devoto (Brian).
Grandchildren Gabriella, Natalie, Olivia, Billy, Rachael, Joey , Crystal(Mike), Sarah, Jake, Jaqueline (Jon), Austin, Dakota ( Tyler),Taylor (Tristan).
Butch was preceded in death by his son William Nieberg and granddaughter Boogie Durborow.
Butch was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His favorite time was Christmas with all the kids and grands at his house Christmas Eve to watch “Christmas Story” and open presents around his “PERFECT Christmas tree…..lol
Butch and Darline were founding Missionaries to Tanzania, East Africa; http://www.devotedministries.org for 25 years. And his work there continues. Lovingly known as Babu Kubwa (Big grandfather) to thousands of Tanzanians.
His devotion to his family and his God were beyond measure and he will be soooo missed by soooo many, but he is home to his reward.
In Butch’s honor, a Celebration Service of his life is to be after the completion of the African Canal Project by Element Church/ Fireside Chapel, 100 Mall Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385 on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM prior to the celebration service. The African Canal Project is a memorial to the Living water that flowed from Butch’s ministry.

    He was more than just a good man. Unbelievable life he lead for Jesus and his kingdom. I too remember the earlier days at Bethel and his devotion to the church and Gods work.
