Janet Angeline Bachmann

Janet Angeline Bachmann, aged 82, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on
September 19, 2025. She was born on April 8, 1943, to Herman and Grace Braun of Zell,
Missouri. She married the boy next door, Kenneth (Ken) A. Bauman on June 23, 1962. They were
married for 12 years (deceased July 2, 1974) and she bore 5 children: Cheryl (husband Larry)
Glascott, Janelle (husband Mitch) Bivona, Dale Bauman (deceased 05.04.72), Keith (wife Angela)
Bauman, and Kirk (wife Debbie) Bauman. Janet married Gerry (Gerald) Bachmann on
September 24, 1979, and her family grew with his children, Troy (wife Rose) Bachmann, Deanna
(husband Joe) Loucks, and Tiffany (husband Todd) Fowler.

Janet loved and cherished her husband, and all of her kids, including 15 grandchildren and 10
great grandchildren. She was a faithful parishioner at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church and
was very dedicated to her Catholic faith. She loved to read, listen to music, dance, play cards,
games, including bunco, and Mahjong. She was the best cheerleader for her children and
became an avid WNBA Indiana Fever fan. Janet and Gerry lived a full life – camping, attending
car club activities, riding their Harley trike and driving their Mustang convertible. She loved her
time with her garden club, known as the Ladybugs, and exercising at the YMCA with her silver
sneaker friends. Her homemade dumplings were a family favorite. Janet will always be
remembered for her fun-loving spirit, strong faith, and her devotion to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by:
Parents, Herman and Grace (Schwent) Braun and siblings, Robert J. Braun, Francis (Tony) Braun,
Mary E. (Braun) Whinery, and Norman Braun.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
350 E 4th Street, Eureka, Missouri 63025, at 11:00. Visitation will start at 10:00. She will be
dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

    What a sweet lady, we enjoyed visiting with Janet and Gerry often. Janet put up the most valiant fight. I admired her so much for her bravery and that smile whenever we saw her. Rest in Peace Janet you have earned your wings❤️. May God bless and bring peace to Gerry and the rest of the family.

    Janet I was honored to meet her she was the kindest loving person I had met it was a treat when she came in for her facials . She never aged she loved taking care of herself and for her hubby Jerry I am going to miss you my Lady and also your loving smile and hugs now you are Angel R.I.P. Beautiful Soul

    I feel honored to have had Janet as my sister in law. It was funny when she married my brother and had my maiden name! She was loving and kind and sweet and made my brother Gerry the happiest man in the world! Their love for each other and their strong faith in God carried them through for the last 46 years. Janet , I know you are in heaven and have organized a mah jong and card group! You will be missed by so many. RIP and I know we’ll meet again some day Love yoU FIREVER ❤️
