Timothy James Reilly
October 25, 1965 – February 22, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy James Reilly at 12:55 pm on February 22nd, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born in Saint Louis Missouri on October 25th, 1965, son of Theresa (Borowiak) and the late Robert Reilly.
Tim was a devoted and loving husband to Theresa Kathleen Reilly (Kraus). Having met when they were 17 and 16 years old, Tim and Theresa grew up together, started a big family, and went on endless adventures throughout their nearly 40 years of marriage.
He was a proud father of seven – Keith Reilly, Jonathan Reilly (Amy), Jessica Reilly (Adam Miller), Luke Reilly, Noah Reilly, Rosie Gacioch (Daniel), and Olivia Reilly – for whom he lived his life.
He was also a cherished “Pops” to eight beautiful grandchildren: Patrick Reilly, Connor Miller, Harper Miller, Samuel Reilly, Autumn Reilly, Ava Reilly, Avery Miller, and Bennett Reilly.
Tim adored his family, including his brothers, Steve (Lynn), Kevin (Janice), and Chris (Laura), sister Karen (Dan) Hoernschemeyer, and in-laws, Ron (Laura) Kraus, Maria (Frank) Mehler, Susan (Peter) Saputo, and Mark (Michelle) Kraus. He was loved as a son by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Kathleen Kraus. He will be sorely missed by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends who became family and family who were his best friends.
Throughout the years Tim touched the lives of anyone who had the honor of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, wisdom, and unwavering happiness that lives on in all of us. He was a lifelong learner and devoted teacher who adored all his students. Tim valued education and was dedicated to his studies. He graduated from Saint Louis University High School, then went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. He was working on his dissertation for his Doctorate Degree up until his Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Tim was an active member of his church, Sacred Heart in Valley Park. He served as Eucharistic Minister, PSR Teacher, and Coach for baseball, softball, volleyball, and soccer. He loved spending time with his family: having bonfires, going on camping and float trips throughout the summer, taking family vacations and exploring new places together, watching his kids and grandkids play sports and musical instruments, and sitting on the porch watching sunsets or storms roll through. He found the most joy in making the people around him smile, whether they were new friends or close family.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

I am so sorry Theresa, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I am sorry to hear of Mr. Reilly passing and wish all the family strength as they mourn and celebrate his life. He was a fantastic teacher to myself and countless others.
I’m shocked to hear this sad news. Tim was a valued friend and colleague at Affton High. Mostly, I remember his sharp sense of humor, and the laughter he provided his students, and the Math Dept on a daily basis.
My sincere sympathies to his family. He packed a great deal of love and joy into a relatively short life.
Take solace in the fact that he will always be with you. May your memories always bring you joy ❤️
I am so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. My prayers are extended for Kevin and the entire Reilly family.
Mr. Reilly was one of the unforgettable parts of my time at Affton. A good man. RIP
I am so so sorry to hear this! Tim was a great guy to teach with and enjoy on our teaching staff! My prayers and thoughts are with Tim’s family! Please accept my dearest condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Reilly. He was an amazing teacher of mine at Affton High School. One of the reasons I became a teacher myself. He had a great sense of humor and was really easy to talk to. He will be missed but never forgotten.
I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. Reilly’s passing. He was a great teacher and he helped me so much with a subject I struggled with. I think of him often. He was so kind. My condolences to his family. RIP
I am so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. He was a great friend and I remember him as an athlete when we played soccer together in junior high. We both attended Mizzou and had a few math classes together that we helped each other through. He will be sorely missed by many! My thoughts are with your entire family.
So sorry to hear about Mr. Reilly’s passing. He was my advisory teacher at Affton. I remember him changing his dress shoes to tennis shoes and his suit coat to a sweater all while singing the theme song to Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was such a funny guy and his students loved him. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.
This man was one of my all time favorite teachers. He made learning interesting and fun. My maiden name was Riley, so we had a funny rivalry about who’s name was spelled correctly. I’m very sorry for your loss. He was a kind and caring person.
I am so sorry for your loss. I was a student of his in the early 90’s and he was always to cool, young hop teacher that could relate to us and our attitudes. While math wasn’t my subject, Mr. Reilly really was my favorite math teacher and tried to make it fun. Touched a lot of lives. My prayers are with you.
