Maureen Ellerson aka “Granny”

Maureen Ellerson (Granny) passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Gentral Ellerson. Both parents John Henry and Florene Weatherspoon, 3 sons Bobby, James, and Herschel Ellerson preceded her in death.

Maureen was a loving sister to Flossie Mae Kimble Weatherspoon, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to all. One special friend to the end Aunt Lucy Woolfolk. Maureen was full of life at age 90, and quite the diva. She loved God and always spoke highly of others. Her favorite phrase was “I’m Good”, and she never complained. Even in her most challenging time in life it was still “I’m Good”. So to you, you and you no matter what you are going through YOU ARE GOOD. Her favorite scripture was Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the father but by me. John 14:6

The family of Mrs. Maureen Ellerson would like to express our sincere appreciation to SSM Hospice staff, A-One- N Home Services, and everyone for their many acts of kindness. Thank you for your expressions of love extended to the family during our time of bereavement. May God bless you all.

Service: Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Louis Cremation 2135 Chouteau Ave. St. Louis, MO 63103 from 10-1pm visitation with burial to follow at Lake Charles Cemetery 7775 St. Charles Rock Rd. St. Louis, MO 63114.

    “I’m Good”

Although my heart is heavy “I’m Good!”
Although the tears are flowing “I’m Good!”
Although their is a void “I’m Good!”
Knowing that there is no more pain, and sorry “I’m Good!”
Knowing the memories, and time that we shared together “I’m Good!”

    Love Sheila Girl
