Mr. Henry Maurice Hansbrough

Henry Maurice Hansbrough was born on April 18, 1959, the first of 3 children born to Henry H. and Ozzie L. Hansbrough in Greenwood, Mississippi. On Thursday morning October 02, 2014, God sent his angels to guide, Maurice to his heavenly mansion.

Throughout his life, Maurice made long lasting friendships wherever he went. His ready smile and jovial nature was infectious to many. He could make you smile or laugh with just a word or two. Maurice accepted Christ at an early age at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist church in Greenwood, MS. He was a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist church at his passing. Henry was educated at Greenwood High School (Greenwood, MS) and Grover Cleveland High School (St. Louis, MO).

Maurice went to work for his father Henry (Bunny) at the family business, Harris Shoe Shop, repairing shoes, belts, handbags or anything leather. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Henry H. Hansbrough (Oct. 7, 2011) and mother, Ozzie L. Hansbrough (Aug. 7, 2003).

Henry Maurice Hansbrough is survived by wife Naomi Hansbrough; his children; Stephanie Glover-Brown (Demaurio) of Horn Lake, MS, Krystal Linze-Jones (Clinton) of St. Louis, MO, Damien Hansbrough (Shanetta) of Bloomington, IL, Maurice “Nu-Nu” Lawrence of Greenwood, MS, Vincent “Luke” Buchanan of Arlington, TX, and Miracle Williams, Justice Hansbrough, Jazz Hansbrough, TaDarrius (T-man) Watson, Tontiana Ferrill and DeMarcus Rush, all of Meridian, MS; many grandchildren; a host of brothers and sisters; brother and sister-in-laws; aunts, great-aunts, uncles, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We love you Reecy and we already miss you. God has called you home to rest. We are happy that you are at peace. Fly my brother, walk again amongst our love ones and know that you are truly missed. Yet glad that you are with daddy, mama, grandma, and thriving in the presence of GOD.

Service will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. Louis Cremation 2135 Chouteau Ave. St. Louis, MO 63103 with visitation 12-1PM and funeral at 1:00PM
