Mark Owings, Sr.

marksobitrevisedMark Owings Sr. Set off on his final ride on December 3, 2015.

Devoted father and best friend to Mark Owings Jr. ; Beloved Son of Jo Ann Owings (Nee Gragnani) and the late Joe Owings; Preceded in death by his Grandparents Joe and Winifred Gragnani and Marjorie Owings; Dearest brother to Beth (Gary) Bruening, the late Lisa Owings, and Lynn Krietemeyer; Cherished Uncle to Shane, Kyle& Brianna Bruening and Isabella & Collin Krietemeyer. Dearest Nephew, Cousin and Friend.
Mark was very dependable and a hard worker. He prided himself on being on time or 20 min early and very rarely called in sick. Mark worked most of his life as a delivery driver for various companies. Most recently he was working for Meridian Restaurant Supply. Mark had an amazing sense for directions, he was our Family’s first GPS, the guy you could call for directions. Mark loved to be out on the road especially when he was on his Harley. We have many fond memories of hearing him pull up on his bike. He always looked so at ease when he was riding. Mark had a great love for the outdoors he and his Son Mark Jr loved to spend time at their lake property. Camping and riding ATV’s was one of their favorite pastimes,or just spending time together with a campfire and talking. The two Marks shared a very special bond more than just father and son-they were the best of friends and both very much alike with the same unique sense of humor and the same laugh that started in the belly and filled their whole body.
Mark had a great devotion to Family and friends, when called upon he was always there to help however he could. Whether you needed directions, a ride, someone to pick up your kid, a tire changed, a muffler tied up or Christmas lights hung on your house, you knew he would be there for you. Oh, he would grumble and complain but you could always count on him being there. Mark was truly loved for these qualities and will be greatly missed.
