Cheryl Swartz

Cheryl Ranee Swartz (Schuerman) passed away unexpectedly at St. Louis University Hospital on April 21, 2016 in St. Louis, MO at the age of 64.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Stacie Cooper (Adams), sisters, Debbie and Karen, brothers, David and Troy, and four grandchildren, Corey, Chloe, Carli, and Carson. She is further survived by many relatives and friends. She is preceeded in death by her parents and her brother Victor.

Cheryl was born on December 31, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL to Virgina Osia and Delmar Schuerman.

After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1970, She attended Nursing School and Forest Park Community College and then found her passion for hair design and completed Ola’s Beauty School in 1981. She had a great adoration for living and serving in St. Louis. One of her greatest accomplishments was being able to open her own salon, Cheryl & Company Hair Design, located on “The Hill” for many years. Being a hair dresser brought her so much joy and happiness.

Cheryl had a generous heart and she loved animals. She also loved good music, dancing and her three cats: Socks, Jake, and Tan. Cheryl had a laugh that made everyone smile. She was always a Daddy’s girl, watching the two of them do the “Jitterbug” was always the highlight of the party.

A private viewing will be held for Cheryl and a memorial/celebration for friends and family will be planned for a later date when her grandson returns from the Navy.
