Anarian Lamont Johnson

Anarian Lamont Johnson was the second of six children born to Diana Johnson. God blessed us with his presence into this world on January 26, 1973. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. Anarian’s interests led him to a variety of career choices. But it was in the restaurant industry that he found most enjoyment.

He walked with God from a very early age. However; he was converted under the instructions of the Reverend Vasser Keys at the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. On a bright August morning in 2012, the Reverend Keys baptized Anarian in the Mississippi River in St. Louis, MO.

Always a pleasant person, he took great pride in being a generous uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Anarian was a friend to many. He was caring and compassionate; always stepping in at just the right time to assist family, friends, neighbors and sometime a stranger or two. Anarian had a great sense of humor with a contagious smile! Like most men he enjoyed a good sports game UNLESS it interfered with his availability to be of service to someone. Nevertheless, baseball was his favorite.

Also Anarian was somewhat of a philosopher as he attempted to analyze the difficult challenges of this life. In deep conversation, he would share his joy of receiving God’s Salvation.

I NEVER SAID GOODBYE

I never got the chance to say I love you,

I never got the chance to say I’ll miss you,

Nobody told me that you were going to die,

It hurts, I never said GOODBYE.

Where are you now, please talk to me,

Show yourself and let me see.

I know that can’t happen no matter how much I try,

All I wanted to do is say GOODBYE.

I hope that you are happy wherever you are,

I have you in my heart no matter how far.

To the heavens above, I wish I could fly,

Only to give you a warm GOODBYE.

I will remember you each day that I live,

You were such a good person with so much to give.

Such a privilege to have known you, no one can deny,

I think it might be time to say GOODBYE.

I will keep with me the good times that we shared,

I want you to know just how much I really cared.

Till we meet again, on God we must rely,

I love you, I miss you and for now, GOODBYE.
