Earl Fink

 

Earl Ralph Fink, 84, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away, Sunday, August 28, 2016 due to a sudden illness. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am September 10th at Dardenne Presbyterian Church, 7400 S Outer Rd 364, Dardenne Prairie, MO, 63368. Family visitation will start at 9:30 am. Rev Dr Andrew Kasberg will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dardenne Presbyterian Church.

 
Earl was born November 29, 1931 at his home on Nebraska Street in St Louis, MO to Earl Henry and Hilda F Fink (nee Luft). He graduated from Cleveland High School in St. Louis. He received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia with honors including Tau Beta Pi. He was proud of serving his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. On December 27th 1958, he married Cleo Joan LeClaire in Richmond Heights, MO and enjoyed Earl was employed at Emerson Electric for many years as Head Application Engineer. He was an Elder at Christ Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine Neighbors before he moved to O’Fallon, where he attended Dardenne Presbyterian Church. He and Joan enjoyed traveling after his retirement, particularly jazz cruises, wherever they went! He also enjoyed exploring his genealogy, reading, following the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 
Earl is survived by his two daughters, Karen Lynn Fink and her husband Raymond Joseph Clark of Dallas, TX, and Diana Lynn Dickey and her husband Jody Lee Dickey of Kansas City, MO, and by four grandchildren, Amanda and Evalyn Clark, and Connor and Grace Dickey. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his sister Loraine Mable Baldwin and by his beloved daughter Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Fink.
