Frank J. Minana
Frank J. Minana, beloved husband of Trudy, passed away on Thursday September 22, at the age of 85, peacefully in his sleep at his home in St. Louis, Missouri.
Frank was born in Johnstown, PA, on October 23, 1930. He graduated from Johnston High School and went on to attend Penn State University, where he studied Engineering and played football under the Coaching Leadership of Rip Engle and Joe Paterno. He later served in the Navy for 4 years.
Frank met Gertrude (Trudy) Malpezzi on a blind date, and they were married on June 30, 1956. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Frank worked as a manager for AT&T for more than 30 years in Trenton, NJ; Denver, CO; and St. Louis, MO. After his retirement from AT&T, he went back to work for PR Marketing before retiring again and moving to Hilton Head Island, SC. in 1993. Two years ago, Frank and Trudy moved back to St. Louis, and enjoyed condo living in Clayton.
Frank enjoyed bowling, playing old fashioned draw poker, watching sports, golfing, boating with his family, and coaching his sons little league teams. He was a person who chose to embrace the opportunities that life brought him, not knowing the details, but knowing the risk was worth the reward, and believing that things would all work out ok in the end.
Frank is survived by his wife Trudy, his three children, Mitch (Kim), Teri, Greg (Kim), his 7 grandchildren, Beth (Jon) Wekerle, Lindsey (Evan) Koenig, Paige, Madison, Mackenzie, Jacob and Mallory, his 2 great granddaughters, Avery and Veda, his twin brother, James (Jan) and brother Charles (Molly), sister Betty (Paul), his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Frank was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Antonio, brothers Tony and Sam.

The family wishes to thank St. Mary’s Hospital, Barnes Extended Care, St. Mary’s Hospice and ComForCare (and especially Daisy) of St. Louis, MO for their loving care and support.
