Cathie grew up and attended grade school and high school in Affton, MO. She always said she was a very proud “Affton-American”. Cathie spent many years behind the chair as a Hairstylist at Together Hair Design, Salons Together, Hair Perceptions & Annabella’s. She leaves behind many Clients that were more than just clients and many co workers that were much more than just co workers.
Cathie was an avid golfer. She loved to swim, in fact she belonged to
a swim club as a young lady. She continued to swim throughout her life. She was quite a fan of the Casinos and the Casinos were fans of her. Cathie lived life to the fullest and had a smile that would light up a room. Cathie loved to party and her infectious laughter and sense of humor was always the highlight of the party. There was no bigger Cardinal fan. Following the Cardinals was one of her passions throughout her life.
Our deepest sympathy to you Tim and Cathy’s family. She was such a sweet person. Her love and memories will live on in you hearts forever. She will be sorely missed.
Cathie will be missed. Although I haven’t seen Cathie regularly in many years, the last time I saw her, Christmas 2007, she had that same “Cathie smile” and showed the “Cathie tease” that she had as a very young child.
I am so saddened by Cathie’s passing. Heaven just got better with Cathie’s arrival!
Cathie was a very dear friend of mine. What I loved about Cathie is what you saw was what you got. She was truly a great friend. I could share everything with Cathie. I was so blessed to have had her friendship in my life for so many years. We would do lots of fun things together that girlfriends do. Even though I did not go on her entire journal with cancer, I made Cathie’s needs and wishes a priority. She knew all she had to do was call and I would be there. She was my very courageous friend. Through all her treatments and sickness she endeared, she never would say she was giving up. She was a fighter. The one thing I will always remember about Cathie was her strength. She never complained whined nor did she ever say why did this happen to me. Her strength and will to live was so strong. In closing, I am so fortunate to have had a friend like Cathie in my life. I will never forget her, she will live in my heart forever.
You will be truely missed Aunt Cathy you are with the angels now.. Thanks for cuttin my hair when i was little and getting the gum out.. love ya miss you
We are so Sorry for your loss Tim. Remember we are always here for you.
Cathie, I Love and will truley miss you, but you’re in a better place now. We’ll pray for your family and Tim. I felt you was like a sister to me and was always there for me when I needed you for anything. You are truly Loved and will be missed. You’ll be able to watch every ball game and golf you rear off now. Love you and God Bless You.
Our deepest sympathy to Tim and the Shay and Kearns families at this time. Cathie will be missed by many. She really enjoyed life on earth, the good times, and partying. We remember her as always smiling, laughing, and being such a happy person. What an infectious laugh she had.
She tried to act as if she were a “toughie” but we knew better. Deep down she was a “creampuff”. Her Dad, our Uncle Ed, was exactly the same way.
She was a person that would help anyone who needed her help, and that goes for animals too. She truly loved them. How many animals did she and Tim have and/or rescue over the years? I’m sure it was quite a lot. This is why we are contributing to Stray Rescue of St. Louis in her memory. We know that this will please her.
Goodbye Cathie and enjoy being with your Dad, your family, and friends in heaven.
Tim, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Cathy that time we all went to the Fox together. I liked her a lot. She was such a sweet person. I wish I could have spent more time with her. Jack told me she liked to play golf like I do. I pray it gives you comfort to know that you will be with her again someday. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Love, Nancy (Jack’s Fiance)
