Christopher Boyle

died quietly on Saturday, April 26, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by daughter Caitlin, son Devin and wife Lynne, in addition to his sister Mary (Jon) Stephenson and brothers Mark (deceased), Tim and Tom (Celeste) Boyle. Chris is also survived by brother-in-law Dennis Kuepfert, sisters-in-law Laura (Van) Ludwig, and Lydia (Terry) Schoenberger, and nieces Jennifer, Rebecca, Amanda, Carolyn, Lindy and RoseMarie and nephews Michael, Daniel (deceased), Jon Caytion and Brett.

Chris was born 9/8/53 to Thomas and Claire Boyle. The family lived in Berkeley before moving to Clayton in the early sixties. After finishing school, Chris lived in northern California for a couple of years. He moved back to St. Louis where he started rehabbing old houses. Chris and Lynne met in 1981 and were married on May 1, 1982. Two years later they had Rachel (deceased), followed by Caitlin and then Devin. Chris enjoyed motorcycles, movies, rock ’n roll, reading. He collected toy cars. Chris worked as a contractor/rehabber until his health problems prevented him from working. He had a long struggle with diabetes and many complications. The last several years were especially debilitating. Through it all Chris kept his sense of humor and enjoyed family get-togethers. He will be dearly missed.
