Freeman served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was a retired engineer for Missouri Pacific RR, a member of Leadwood Masonic Lodge #598, Past Master of Brentwood Lodge #616 and Past Patron of Brentwood Chapter #429, O.E.S. Freeman was an Elder at the Kirkwood Congregation, Community of Christ.
