Harold Punches

Harold Punches was born to the late Joseph and Alela Punches on February 7, 1920, in Wymore NE. Harold had three older brothers that preceeds him in death, Robert, Joe and Max. Harold is survived by one younger brother, Richard Punches who resides in TX.

Harold attended college at Colorado University where he majored in History and lettered in Track and Football (his first love). He entered the Navy in 1942, where he was stationed at Pearl Harbor, and commanded a sub chaser until the end of World War II. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he taught school in NM and later worked in the VA at Lubock TX until he began a 42 year career with Farmers Insurance Company in 1948. Hee worked his way up through the claims department and was manager over the St. Louis district office and finally retired at the age of 70.

Harold is survived by his wife, Ellen of Ballwin MO, son Bruce (Bobbette) , of Fredericktown MO, two daughters, Sue and Marty, of Colorado, and 3 stepsons, Randy (Kathy), Richard (Maureen) and David (Vickie) Keys. He enjoyed tennis handball, and racquetball, as well as big band music and dancing.

Harold, a loving husband and devoted father, will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
