James Lockard

 

James L. Lockard, 74, of Manchester, Missouri, formally of Eolia, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012. He was born in Lewistown, Illinois on January 25, 1937, the son of Ollie and Nellie Lockard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Chester Lockard. He is survived by his wife Vera, they recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughters Debbie (Scott) Beasley of Columbia, Mo; Amy (Ernie) Ness of Conway, AR; Sherry (Don) Corwin of Columbia, Mo; Laurie Huhman of Houston, TX; and Robin (Glenn) Buck of St. Charles, Mo.
James is also survived by his grandchildren Jason Hartman, Greg Hartman, Lisa Hartman, Ashley Beasley, Amanda Beasley, Emily (Andrew) Geyer, Brady Ness, Patrick Corwin, Katie Corwin, Daniel Huhman, Christopher (Jen) Buck, Jessica Buck, Britney Buck, and four great-granddaughters, Savannah Kelley, Elina Buck, Daniya and Destiney McBride. He is also survived by brothers Raymond and Jack Lockard, and sisters Twyla Lewsader, Thelma Easterling, and Betty June Jennings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was a licensed independent contractor for over 44 years and loved his family and gardens. He was devoted to his many clients and friends throughout his long career. 
A private memorial is being planned; memorials may be made to the donors’ choice.
