Jasper Lockwood
On August 28, 2009, Jasper peacefully passed onto the next great adventure that will probably involve a challenging golf course and a 2 stroke advantage.
A World War II and early jet fighter pilot, Jasper pursued his many ventures, adventures and even a few misadventures with a fighter pilot’s mentality – he was invincible.
Following cremation, a farewell party for family, friends, well-wishers and critics will be held in Jasper’s beloved flower garden from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, September 19. At a later date, his sons Jayson & Joshua will cast his ashes upon the wind at an undisclosed location and Jasper will soar with the eagles forever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne (Mathews), sons Jayson (Christine) and Joshua (Whitney), grandchildren Robin, Anna and Ben Schrader, Sage, Jordan and Gabrielle Lockwood, great granddaughters, Olivia and Julia, brother George (Mary Ellen), nieces, nephews and cousins and many hale and hardy golfing buddies. He was preceded in death by daughter Beverly Schrader, granddaughter Karen Schrader, brothers Bert & Bill, sister in law Carlan, nephews Terry and George Robert Femmer.
Please honor Jasper’s wish that memorials be made to the Backstoppers and the Salvation Army.
