Jessamine Johnson-Reiter

Jessamine Louise Johnson-Reiter (nee Vitt) of St. Louis, MO, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of John F. Reiter for 17 years and the late Herbert A. Johnson for 37 years, dear daughter of the late John Thomas and late Grace Vitt (nee McGinnis); loving mother of Grace (James) Lange, Art (June) Johnson, Marguerite (Matthew) Jahns, Sarah (Jeff) Scholten, Tim (Harmie) Johnson, and John (Debbie) Johnson; proud grandmother of Sarah, Cara, Jenna, Brandon, Matthew, Kevin, Jonathan, P.J., J.J., Harleen, Christine, John and Alex; loving sister of Lily (Frank) O’Connell, and the late Marnie, Grace, Bill, Tim and Sr. Margaret Marie (Sally).

She will be missed by all who knew the “charming chatterbox”. She was a life long teacher who never missed an opportunity to work with anyone who wanted to learn. She continued to volunteer as a teacher in various schools long after her retirement from the Ritenour School District.

So that she could continue to teach even after her death, Louise donated her body to the Medical School at St. Louis University.
