Joan Moritz

Joan A. Moritz (formerly Walsh) was born November 15th, 1931 in St. Louis to Gladys and Roy Callmeyer. Joan entered into rest at her home in Fenton, Missouri, surrounded by her family, on June 4th, 2011 at the age of 79.

Joan was preceded in death by her husbands George Walsh and Marshall Moritz, her son Dan Walsh and her brother Robert Callmeyer.
She is survived by three loving daughters; Candy (Jerry) Sparks of Bourbon, MO, Robyn (Gary) Reed of Pacific, MO and Tammy (Bill) Ludwig of Fenton, MO. Joan was the dear mother-in-law of Lynda Walsh of Festus, MO and beloved sister to Sandra Scarlett of St. Charles, MO. Joan was blessed with ten grandchildren; Jay, Ryan, Debra, Melody, Brittney (deceased), Brandon, Lewis, Travis, Nathan and Ronnie. She even had seventeen great-grandchildren; McKayla, Aiden, Damian, Austin, Rylie, Christian, Devon, Britton, Kaden, Briana, Corbin, Tristen, Brittany, Drew, Kody, Keith, and Krystal. Beloved relative and friend of many.

Joan loved spending her time with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors and activities like hunting, fishing and archery. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held by the family on Saturday, June 18th from 1-4pm at the (Pacific) Eagle’s Lodge, 707 West Congress, Pacific MO 63069. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice/deGreeff Hospice House, 10016 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128.
