Leonard Boever

Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church 11/5/11. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Schaefer) for 44 years 11/3/11. Loving father of Little Len (Tracie) and Joseph. Dear big brother of Linda (Neil) Tomlin, Tom (Kathy), Laurie (Kurt) Jaeger and the late David-lost to us in the Vietnam War. Son of the late Henry and Delores Boever. Dear brother-in-law of John/Pat Schaefer, Jean Conforth/John Weis, and Eddie/Pamela Schaefer. Dear uncle, great uncle and cousin.

Len always looked forward to fishing, camping and hunting trips. Also celebrating special occasions with family and friends.

Although the first answer to a new critter in the house was always "No!", he would finally relent and let ’em stay. Loved all the dogs…tolerated the rest of the menagerie.

But his happiest moment was probably when he was told he was going to be a first time "Grandpa". He’ll see the final result from Heaven.

On Tuesday 11/22/11 the church opens at 9:00am with Mass at 10:00am at St. David Catholic Church 2334 Tenbrook Rd, Arnold, MO 63010. The mass will be officiated by Len’s cousin, Father Gary Gebelien, followed by a "Celebration of Life" from 4-8pm at Concordia Turners Hall 6432 Gravois Rd, St. Louis 63116. All are welcome.

Len’s wish "Pray then Party".

What a nice obituary. So glad I got to know Len Sr. Was looking forward to sharing grand-parenting with him and Sue. I’m sure Tracie and Len Jr. will let their baby know all about his other Grandpa – Len. Sr.

Buck was a very good friend of mine, and I will always remember him cruising around Affton in his black 51 Ford. He will be missed by “The Accelerators.” We have many good memories of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue and the family.

When a loved one passes on, they leave us with all of our memories of great times together. As we go on, they smile down and celebrate with us from a new point of view. My prayers for all of you.

Len, I will always remember your parents as being the best. They had to be since they tolerated your creatures you shared with your fifth grade classmates.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Your fifth grade teacher,
    Joan E. Schlueter
