Michael Hart

Michael Joe Hart – also known as Joe Joe the Clown, Big Mike, and, of course “Mr. Charming”. Michael was born November 15, 1965 in St. Louis Missouri and died at age 44 on April 16, 2010 from lung/respiratory failure after surviving acute Burkett’s Lymphoma for 20 months.
Michael is survived by his wife of 4 years, Kim Michele Hart age 44 of St. Peters Missouri, Step daughter and son n law, Lachelle and Mathew Kozma of Forrest, VA, parents, Brenda and Joe Hart of Troy Missouri, and three siblings, Monica Allen, Gary Hart, and  Michele Wolf.
In addition to his wife, step daughter, son n law, siblings, and parents, Michael leaves behind his treasured puppy, Sunny, who he affectionately referred to as “boy”. Sunny was like a son to Michael and accompanied him everywhere. He could often be seen on weekend visits to House One. Sunny will miss his “daddy”.
Michael graduated from Buchanan High School in Troy Missouri and held an Associates Degree of Fire Science. Michael served 22 years at the BJFPD where he was an engineer on the C Crew at House One.
Michael held his private pilot’s license and flew just a week before his death. He enjoyed flying every chance he got and recently built a flight simulator in his basement. According to the guys at House One, Michael also flew his 2nd simulator at the kitchen table in between calls.
Michael was a certified SCUBA dive master and instructor. He and his wife, Kim, dove at least 3 to 4 times a year, with a recent February 2010 trip to Mexico and a 2009 trip to the Island of SABA.
Michael lived life to the fullest. Diving was definitely his passion, and he has dove all over the world including the South Pacific, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, The Dominican, Bahamas, and Mexico.
Michael was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church since October 2009 where he and his wife worshiped. Michael’s plans were to join the choir with Kim this summer. He was truly blessed by his church family
.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Pat Campbell, Pastor. See Caringbridge.org/michaelhartbjfpd for details and more information
