Kathy, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Russ’ passing. I had read some of his blogs, and reviews, and appreciated his thoughtful and insightful writings. As you continue on this difficult journey with your boys, find comfort in knowing all he touched. One of my favorite quotes is by Chuck Palahniuk… “We all die, the goal is not to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.” Russ has done that with his sons and his words. My deepest sympathy and may God bless.
Our family knew Russ during the time when his father was Pastor at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Hopewell, VA. I am so very sorry to learn of his death and would like to send my thoughts and prayers. He was a remarkable person.
