Sue Gulley

Sue Gulley passed away on Wednesday, April 7. She was blessed to be in her own bedroom with her two best friends beside her, her daughter Paula and her caregiver Shirley. It was a peaceful passing on a beautiful Spring day. She was 92 years old.

Sue would be the first to tell you she had a wonderful life. Friends and family remember her sense of humor, love of practical jokes, devotion to her late husband William (Paul),daughter Paula, her sister Leona and nieces Sue, Claudia and Judy. She loved to sew, cook (although she would vehemently deny that), play Scrabble and visit on the phone with her sister. In her later years her favorite activity was sitting in her chair with one of the family cats, McMurphy on her lap. She will be missed terribly, but we were so lucky to have had her for so long. I know she would want to specifically thank Shirley, who made it possible for her to stay at home the entire time. Without her care and love we couldn’t have done it.

    Paula,

Oliver and I are sorry for your loss. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to get to know your mother well, I’m sure she was a wonderful, talented and loving person. With sympathy,

    Bonnie G.

Paula, your Mother was the dearest lady I have ever known. I smile as I cry when I think of some of the things she said and did. She must have been a bright spot in the life of everyone that was lucky enough to know her. She was lucky to have you, sacrificing so much to give her the best possible care these past few years. My sympathy to you and your family and friends. Michele
