Taeko Strubberg

Taeko “Jean” Strubberg, 83, resident of St. Louis County passed away Sunday, June 3, 2011 from liver cancer.
Taeko was born in Darien City, Manchuria, Japan to Jitsue and Jitsuo Mitsui. Her older sister, Sumiko Cranford, resides in Kansas while her brother, Yasuo passed away several years ago.

Taeko’s hobbies included cooking, drawing, reading and crochet which lead to her winning 1st Place in Crochet with embroidery category by Herrshner’s in 2009. She went onto win Honorable Mention the following year.

Taeko is survived by her three sons John Strubberg, David Strubberg (Kathy) and Tom Strubberg. Her life was blessed with four grandchildren Jennifer Strubberg Anderson (Shelby), Kristen Strubberg, David Strubberg and Katie Strubberg. She will be missed by her two great grandchildren, Madison and Shelby Anderson.

A memorial mass will be performed on July 12, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church in Fenton.

The family asks for donations be made to The deGreeff Hospice House.

Taeko lived her life to the fullest and for this her family will remember her always.
