Virginia Evelyn Cosby (nee Wyrick)–known to all as Evelyn born November 8, 1934 died peacefully, with all her family members whom she dearly loved at her bedside, on May 2, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn (Web) Cosby; her mother, Grace Robbs (nee Milton); her father, Vernon Wyrick; and a son, Danny Pennington.

She is survived by her son, James (Steve) Hinchcliff (Karen); step-daughter, Carla Sue Rush (George); grandchildren, Victoria, Patrick, Bernadette, Kathleen, and Daniel; her brother, Ron Wyrick (Joanie); her sisters, Gladys Kassing (Barry) and Sheryl Reardon (Mike); her nieces and nephews, Stefanie Kassing (also her God-daughter), Greg Wyrick and Amanda Wyrick, along with their spouses and their children. Mom and Grandma,

Though the place you held in our hearts and in our family in life can never be filled, you continue to give us love and strength from the innumerable memories you left to us. We all miss you so much, it it beyond words to express. But, you are now, and will always be, a real and living part of all of our lives — lives you shaped by your words, deeds and examples. We are all so grateful to have had you for a Mother, Mother-In-Law and Grandmother. Rest well.
