William R. Broadstone, 64 of St. Charles, Mo., died Saturday January 22, 2011 in the Jefferson Barracks Hospice Facility of the VA.  He was born on May 25, 1946 in Port Huron, MI and moved to St. Charles back in 1981.  He was married to Patricia A. Wenig in September of 1971.

Mr. Broadstone is survived by his wife Patricia; his daughter Angela and her husband Bart Lewis; his son Jonathan and his wife Abby Broadstone; his mother Helen Broadstone and his brother Andrew Broadstone.

Mr. Broadstone proudly served the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966-1968.  He sold insurance for 23 years and watching soccer and ice hockey were a great hobby of his.  He loved to coach soccer and did so with his children for 15 years. Bill was a wonderful pianist and loved to play for a crowd or just to himself for hours.  He was also an avid fan of Michigan football, especially former coach Bo Schembechler.

A memorial service was held at 2:30pm Friday, January 22, 2011 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Mr. Broadstone will receive full military honors.
