Adele Maxine Herrell (nee Kletzke)

Adele  Maxine Herrell (nee Kletzke) passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 100.  Born August 9, 1923 in St Louis, daughter of Max Ernst Herman Kletzke and Anna Marie Sischka.  

Adele married Frank Junior Herrell on July 3, 1943 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Amelia (Joe) Cavenaugh, Ella (Earl) Hinkle, and her brother Edward Kletzke.  

Adele was a beautiful woman inside and out.  

A loving mother to Judith (late Joseph) Piatchek, Janet (Chris) Simonds and Frank Michael (Kathy) Herrell; grandmother of six and great-grandmother to 8.  

She led a long,  healthy life.  She lived independently for over 100 years.  She never drove and walked daily.  She cared for her husband Frank for 15 years after he suffered a disabling stroke.  She was an excellent seamstress and loved quilting, bowling, gardening, fishing and traveling in her motorhome along with her husband Frank and extended family.  She will be greatly missed.

Memorial service and interment will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

    I am blessed with a kind, loving, and caring Aunt Air. She was a Sister and best Friend to my Mom.
    God Bless you Aunt Air, I am happy you will be reunited with Frank, Millie, Ella and Eddie.
