Adeline “Carol” Reese

Adeline “Carol” Reese

Atlean and Beatrice Louise Bass were blessed with a beautiful baby daughter, Adeline (Carol) Reese on August 18, 1955. Both parents preceded her in death. Adeline had nine siblings, three preceded her in death, a beloved sister Shirley Brown, two brothers June Bass and David Jones along with one granddaughter Perri Adeline Jones.

On September 9, 1973 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Lee Reese, and to this union two handsome sons (Robert and Dewayn) and their ONLY beautiful daughter (LaShonda) were born.

As a young woman she attended New Paradise MB Church where she confessed a hope in Christ under the leadership of Reverend Robert Reed. As a member she served in the choir and on the usher board.

She was fearless and had a love for people. She fed, clothed, provided shelter, encouragement, and when needed discipline. She had a way of loving you and checking you at the same time!

For those who knew her, they knew she loved her family and was devoted not only to her children, but cared for her nephews and nieces as if they were her own.

On January 11, 2020 she was called home into the loving arms of her Savior and the chains of sickness and pain were removed never to hinder her again.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Robert Reese, her three children Robert Jones, Dewayn Reese (Tempeste), LaShonda Harvey (Joseph); thirteen grandchildren Terranisha, Dewayne, Javon, Jasmine (Kevin), Jessica, Ralph, Trinell, Arielle, Jonas, Maiya, Brittany, Kaitlyn, and August; six great-grandchildren Liam, Logan, Micah, Josiah, Langston, Perri; six siblings Emma jean, Otis (Red), Ruben, Louise (Ben), Atlean, and Rochelle; three nieces Aileen, Ronnisha, Loretta; four nephews Darnell (Donna), Angelo, Carl (Gloria), Jerome and a host of cousins and friends.

The family of Adeline “Carol” Reese wishes to express our sincere appreciation for the cards, e-mails, text messages, floral condolences, and other expressions of sympathy extended during our bereavement. They have help to lighten our burden of sadness. We want each of you to know we shall forever remain grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
