Aidan James Klenc

Aidan James Klenc passed peacefully on April 8, 2020 in the loving arms of his family. Aidan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 22, 2002 to Jeana (Savage) Klenc formerly of Williamsfield, IL and James Klenc, St. Louis. Also surviving is a beloved sister, Anna Klenc, paternal grandparents Michael A and Susan (Burns) Klenc, his maternal granny, Judith (Baum) Kellogg, many aunts and uncles, and 14 dear first cousins whom he loved dearly.

Aidan was funny and full of life. He loved music, concerts, video games, his computer, construction projects, anything mentally challenging, technology, playing board games with his family and friends and tormenting his sister whenever the opportunity presented itself, which was often. Aidan was diagnosed with brain cancer (Grade 4 Glioblastoma) at age 14 after suffering for two years with seizures. Despite his illness, Aidan lived life out loud, showed loved to his family and friends with great gusto and chased joy and adventure with every ounce of his being.

The family wishes to thank all their family and friends for years of support, kindness and love; Friends of Kids with Cancer for every drop of what you do for us and other families; Fort Zumwalt South High and especially Rhonda Fitzgerald for being his greatest support and cheerleader; and the entire team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, especially Drs. Guavain, Limbrick, Thio, Brasier and nurse coordinators Michele, Mary and Kat for the years of compassion, professionalism and the miracle of time you facilitated. You are our heroes both in what you do and the level of excellence you ensure. Finally, Solace Hospice, especially Lauren, Nathan and Julie for being there when we needed you, night or day. Anna would like to give special thanks to her Camp Rainbow family and founders, the Ricken family, for all that they do to support children with cancer and their families.

Because of the current pandemic, a memorial service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Aidan J Klenc Foundation,

PO Box 758, St. Peters, MO 63376.
