No matter I tight I held your hand, you were still able to slip away from me.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Jimmy. I know how much he will be missed. May God bring you some peace and you feel His love in this sad time. You will see him again – but until that time, rejoice in the wonderful memories you have. And try to smile. Mark would want you to smile, big brother. I love you. ❤️
You are in my prayers. Always. 🙏

Jim, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m so grateful for the care and love you had for my uncle. I bet there was a ruckus on Rainbow Bridge when he arrived! I envision him tending to all the animals, chatting up a storm with his siblings and parents and, ultimately, worshipping our Creator. What a blessing!

I had a special relationship with Mark for over 1O years as we were both brothers in a Franciscan order, having gone through the postulancy, novitiate and vow profession. I can personally attest to his fervent love of our Blessed Mother and the Franciscan ideal. Mark was clearly a true Franciscan and a delight to be with. I can still recall his infectious and genuine laugh. We continued a long correspondence with each other for years, sharing memories and nostalgia. What a blessing to have such loyal companion as Jim. I am certain there will be a joyous reunion reunion in Heaven as our Seraphic Father welcomed him and his great laughter. Former Brother Christopher. OSF. Pax et bonum tibi to all who were privileged to have known Brother Mark

Dearest Jim, I praise you and thank you so very much for your dedicated and devoted care of my uncle. I wish i would have had the opportunity to meet you. Anyone that meant so much to my uncle, as you did, is indeed a very special person. Al was more like a brother than an uncle, as we grew up together in Akron, Ohio. I have many wonderful memories of our time together. I had the privilege of visiting him once at the monestary. Through the years we had kept in touch. He sent me some beautiful things and lovely cards. Both of our birthdays were in August, and he sent me an angel that said August. He was such an inspiration, as his cards and letter always held special spiritual messages attesting to his love and devotion to our Savior, Jesus, and his precious mother, Mary. Through the years i saw him very few times. He is indeed in heaven, and I look forward to the day when we shall be together again.

    From Patrick 💕:
Jim, Our deepest condolences. Today is Mark’s 87 birthday. Similar to Mark’s previous birthdays, PJ and I called to wish him good cheer. We are stunned and profoundly saddened to learn from you about Mark’s passing. After speaking with you, PJ and I held one another and cried. Mark and you, your families and friends are in our prayers.

The Irish writer Thomas Moore wrote; “Earth cannot render any sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.” We believe you and Mark, and all of us will be reunited someday in the bliss of Heaven. I think he will take great pleasure introducing us to St. Francis.

Mark, on a personal note. Thank you for your help and kindness to me, and years later to my wife and our family, You helped me beyond anything you could imagine. You accepted me with love, compassion, and understanding. I am so grateful. Please pray for us. We love you!

    From PJ❤️:
Mark, when I first started at St John’s Mercy Medical Center as an Educational Therapist in 1983, you were amongst the first to welcome and befriend me, for which I will always be grateful. You were Director of the Unit Secretaries at that time, and I was so impressed with your professionalism and warm, caring personality! Your reputation was stellar amongst the employees you directed and by everyone with whom you worked! I’m so very happy that we got to be great friends outside of work, too!

When Patrick and I started dating, you were loving and so supportive! You’ll always have a place of honor in our hearts, and thank you for handling our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding! It was a really beautiful event! Really, we have always loved you as one of our favorite friends. All the times you hosted us in your beautiful home on Park Place, (and later in your gorgeous home in Ballwin) were special occasions as our family grew from two to four! I still remember toting Molly first, followed by Katie’s few years later, in their pumpkin seats, and all their kid paraphernalia to your pristine home-and you welcoming us with open arms !

I wish we’d been able to see you more often in the last few years and had been able to push past your embarrassment at your failing health issues. As I’m encountering more and more of my own aging issues, I understand your reticence, but we could definitely have accepted and loved you just as much no matter how slow you moved!😊💕

We’re also so happy that we got to enjoy getting to know Jim and saw what great friends you were. He definitely was a true blessing in your life, and I know what agony he’s been in since you have made the transition to Heaven. He, and you, are in our prayers and one day we will all be reunited with you and all our pets on the other side!
Your puppies were blessed indeed to have you as their doting dad!

Love always, my friend! Thank you for all the laughs and wonderful times and lasting memories!🩷🙏🏼❤️💕
