Alexander Joseph Sackett

Alex (Alexander Joseph) Sackett, 31 of Affton, MO, May 27, 2018. Alex was the beloved son of Joel and Kathy Sackett, loving brother of Korinne Sackett, dear grandson of Bernard and Gay Sackett and the late Paul and Anne Thompson. Loving nephew of Wendy (Phil) Rapp, Kent Sackett, Randy Thompson, Tracy (Joe) Morgan, Kim and Mark Jansen and Andrea (Marco) Thompson-Ervin. Cousin to Luke, Ben, Cody, Kyle, Kimmy, Andrew, Danielle, Paul, Zachary, Ross, Hunter, Wyatt, Takeo and Quinlynn and a friend to everyone he met.

Alex was a major NASCAR fan (his favorite driver was Richard Petty) and Monster Truck fanatic (he LOVED The Grave Digger) and he loved Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. (Alex – “CAN YOU SMELLLLL WHAT THE ROCK – IS – COOKING?”) His dream was to drive a Monster Truck some day! His smile was infectious and would light up any room instantly.

His lifelong passion for books and videos brought him great joy. Some of Alex’s favorite places to visit were The Goodwill Store with his good friend and companion Dawn Oppy, Steak N Shake to see his favorite waiter Bill and the Jefferson Barracks Park, or as he called it “the deer park” where he and his momma would count the deer. He also loved going to the family cabin with his father to watch NASCAR races and just to hang out.

Although Alex faced many challenges throughout his life, he never let them get him down. Alex continued to live his life to the fullest until his body decided to slow down.

Alex passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by those he loved and those that loved him even more.

Alex will be missed beyond belief. There will be a celebration of Alex’s life on June 23rd, from 11 am – 2 pm at The Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Rd., St. Louis MO 63123. All are invited to come share your stories of how Alex touched your life.
