Alice Meyer

Alice Meyer, age 80 fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2021.

Born in Evansville, Illinois on February 20,1940, daughter of the late Ferdinand J. Meyer and Lillian (Schoenberger) Meyer

Those left to cherish her memories are: Raymond G. Meyer, Viola( Mudd) Meyer, Dolores I. (Meyer) Stilfield, Lloyd Stilfield, Francis A. Meyer, Eleanor (Pellerito) Meyer, Stephen G. Meyer, Darlene (Holthaus) Meyer, and Loretta A. Meyer

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev.Thomas G. Meyer, Carl J. Meyer, her sister Marie E. Meyer and her nephew, Christopher M. Meyer

Alice left behind many neices, nephews, great- neices, and great-nephews. Although, never having had children of her own she had the joy of helping to raise her niece Kelly Marie Meyer.

Alice graduated Laboure High school in 1958

Alice worked many different jobs through out her career,
before retiring from the John C. Murphy Health Center, where she worked mostly in the TB clinic.

Alice was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Dardenne parish . She faithfully attended mass and prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed volunteering with the members who served the funeral luncheons.

Alice had a very caring, warm and compassionate personality. She was very loyal to her family and friends. She was an avid bowler early in her life, enjoyed capturing moments in time with her photography, liked to bake pies and bread, but mostly loved sitting on the front porch she designed, where she could swing and invite her friends who were willing to take the time to enjoy joy a peaceful moment out of their busy lives.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: St.Louis Children’s Hospital , St. Jude’s Hospital, or Shriner ‘s Hospital.

For friends and family a memorial service and gathering will be determined at a later date.
